Hospice offers support

Hospice of the East Bay is pleased to offer a variety of support groups and workshops for adults, children and teens experiencing grief after the death of a loved one. Classes are offered at Hospice’s Administrative Offices: 3470 Buskirk Avenue; Pleasant Hill, Hospice’s Brentwood location:  80 Eagle Rock Avenue, Suite A, Brentwood and at Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation:  2890 Mitchell Drive, Walnut Creek.

Support Groups for Adults:

Adults Who Have Lost a Parent:

Pleasant Hill Mondays, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

May 6 – July 1, 2013

(No meeting on May 27)

Widow and Widowers’ Support:

Pleasant Hill Afternoons: Thursdays, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

April 18 – June 6, 2013

Pleasant Hill Evenings: Wednesdays, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

April 17 – June 5, 2013

Brentwood: Tuesdays, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

June 4 – July 23, 2013

Drop-In Bereavement Support Group:

Pleasant Hill:  4:30 – 6:00 p.m.

1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month

Pet Loss Support Group:

The Tony LaRussa Animal Rescue Foundation: 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

2nd Tuesday of the month

Understanding Grief:

Pleasant Hill: Tuesday, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

The Bridge:

Pleasant Hill:  Bi-monthly support program for grieving children and teens. Find the most current Bereavement Services calendar at:  www.hospiceeastbay.org.

Support is also available for parents/guardians. New participants can start at any time!

Pre-registration is required.

Bereavement Services are provided free of charge to all community members in need, however, donations are greatly appreciated.
