A municipal election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 for three seats on the Danville Town Council. The nomination period begins on July 18, 2016 and ends on August 12, 2016. The filing period is extended to August 17, 2016 if an incumbent fails to file.
During this period, candidates interested in participating in the election can make an appointment with the City Clerk to obtain nomination papers and other documents that are required to be filed for Danville Town Council candidacy. The papers must be completed and filed with the City Clerk before the end of the nomination period. (Election-specific documents are not available to candidates prior to July 18).
The California Secretary of State and the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) are resources for candidates and the authority on most campaign activities.
