Tech business director and community leader Sabina Zafar has announced her bid for the San Ramon City Council.
“I’m ready to take my experience in the tech industry, management, and community advocacy to deliver real results for the San Ramon residents,” said Sabina Zafar on the announcement. “These are exciting times for San Ramon and I believe that taking the city to the next level requires communication, collaboration, strategic partnerships, and vision.”
Born and raised in Pakistan, Sabina comes from a family of strong public servants. Her earliest political inspiration was her father who served as a federal leader in the cabinet of Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, a strong woman leader and role model for a young Sabina.
Sabina moved to the United States in her early twenties to pursue a career in technology. She has been active in San Ramon on the PTA, raising her two children. She is also a member of several bay area organizations and charities that help promote education.
Today, Sabina is a successful business executive who chose San Ramon to live the American dream with its safe communities, diverse neighborhoods, and excellent public schools. Sabina has been appointed to the San Ramon Valley Transportation Advisory Committee and a member of the San Ramon Dougherty Valley Rotary Club. Sabina is a rising star and key leader on many important municipal issues facing residents.
Sabina Zafar is a successful tech business director who lives in San Ramon and currently serves on the San Ramon Valley Transportation Advisory Committee and a member of the San Ramon Dougherty Valley Rotary Club. She is an alumna of Emerge California and Leadership San Ramon Valley. If elected, Sabina will be the only woman on the San Ramon City Council. The election is November 8, 2016.
