Concert for a Cure 2013

On Saturday, May 11, Concert for a Cure will take place at Blackhawk Country Club from 6-11pm. The country club is located at 599 Blackhawk Club Drive, Danville, CA.
Each year, local families have put on Concert for a Cure, a fundraiser to help in research a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (http://fsma.org/), the number one genetic killer for children under age 2. Â Often fatal, it is a disease that destroys the nerves controlling voluntary muscle movement affecting crawling, walking, head and neck control, and even swallowing.
Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy  (FSMA) is dedicated to creating a treatment and cure by: Funding and advancing a comprehensive research program; Supporting SMA families through networking, information and services; Improving care for all SMA patients; Educating health professionals and the public about SMA; Enlisting government support for SMA; and embracing all touched by SMA in a caring community.
