Danville PD Open House

FreeResidents invited to learn more about PD at Sep 21 event
Town of Danville residents interested in learning about how the police operate and what happens behind the scenes at the Danville PD, will get the opportunity this Saturday at the DPD Open House.
The Open House is set for this Saturday, September 21, 2013. From 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. residents can come to 510 La Gonda Way to get a close-up look at their police department. Guests can tour the PD, check out the special vehicles on display or watch demonstrations of special programs, such as the K-9 Unit.
In addition, guests will be able to enjoy hot dogs, soda and popcorn. Young Danville residents will receive balloons and stickers at the event.
Police Chief Steve Simpkins said he believes having these events will help educate the public about the work of the PD. Chief Simpkins enthused, “They’ll get to see what we do, how we do it and, most importantly, why we do it.” For more information, contact Sergeant Jose Rivera at (925) 314-3722 or [email protected].
