Danville Rotary Meeting

Danville Rotary is an organization of local business, professional and community leaders who believe in Service Above Self. We meet regularly, get to know each other and build relationships that help us better serve our community  and have fun doing it.

For more than sixty years, Danville Rotary  (part of Rotary International) has been supporting local youth organizations, and community improvement projects, promoting literacy and wellness, and helping to eradicate polio,  provide clean water and eliminate poverty throughout the world. Our service projects are open to people of all races, creeds and cultures and new members are encouraged.

Danville Rotary meets every Monday for lunch at Faz in Danville. Meetings include guest speakers and a lot of interpersonal fun and jousting among the members.  We are the oldest Rotary Club in the Valley.  We believe in sweat equity service projects as well as providing financial support for local and international projects.  This year we provided filled backpacks to students of families supported by Shelter, Inc., as well as providing and wrapping presents for Shelter, Inc., families.  We hosted two career programs coupled with Breakfast for Del Amigo Students.  We continue working with the high school to improve the appearance of the campus.  The graphic wall we funded is finished.  Further landscaping work is planned.  We are proud supporters of The Discovery Counseling Center, the third grade dictionary project, and literacy projects in India and South Africa.
