Lighting the Old Oak Tree Set for Nov. 29
November 29, 2013 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeDowntown streets to close for annual holiday tradition
Downtown Danville will be the perfect place to spend the day after Thanksgiving as thousands of residents come down to enjoy the wonderful Danville Tradition of the Lighting of the Old Oak Tree.
Starting at 5:00p.m. , residents are invited to come downtown, check out all the great Danville shops, sample the wonderful foods and listen to fantastic music. Several areas through the downtown will feature performers.
Leading up to the lighting, the San Ramon Valley High School Chorus and other groups will be performing near the reviewing stand on Diablo Rd. Then, when the time is right, Father Christmas and the Snow Angel will come out to address the crowd. The Snow Angel will sprinkle her magic dust and the tree will spring to light.
Be sure to come down and be a part of this grand tradition.
