Music in the Park

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets out to Oak Hill Park and enjoy music spanning three decades.  The Town of Danville opens their annual Music in the Park concerts series.

Continuing to present quality performers to show appreciation for its residents, The Town of Danville has booked a star-studded lineup guaranteed to be a rock’n good time of summer entertainment.

Closing out this amazing lineup on August 22, 2015, back at Oak Hill Park, will be the electrifying show stopper.  Foreverland. Foreverland is a unique 14 piece tribute band to one of the most amazing entertainers in the world, Michael Jackson. Practice your moonwalk, spins and hat tipping moves in preparation for the songs of the greatest pop artist that ever lived.

Music in the Park began 30 years ago with just a handful of people in attendance, and has grown over the years to a thriving event with thousands coming out to enjoy dinner and dancing beneath the warm Danville skies.

To celebrate the 30th year of this series the Town of Danville is proud to offer T-Shirts to commemorate this milestone. Black concert shirts with a retro 70’s theme are available for purchase by cash or check for $10.00 at the Danville Community Center, 420 Front St., starting July 1, 2015 and at each concert. Be sure to grab one before they run out.

Each concert begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. Bring a picnic dinner from our local restaurants or concert-goers also have the option provided by Oak Hill Park to purchase tasty meals offered by the various food trucks by Food Truck Mafia.
