Public Invited to Annual Awards Ceremony

Citizens to be honored for community service, new mayor will be selected

Danville residents are invited to turn out Tuesday, December 3, 2013 for the Town of Danville’s 32^nd Annual Awards Ceremony and Mayor’s Installation event.

This annual event, held at the Danville Community Center, 420 Front Street, is an opportunity for the Danville Town Council to recognize and honor individuals and organizations for their various contributions to the community.  The event culminates with the presentation of the Danville Award, given to that resident or group that best exemplifies the spirit of community and volunteerism found in the Town of Danville.

Also during the evening, the new Mayor and Vice-Mayor of Danville will be selected for 2014.

The awards ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday,  December 3, 2013 at the Danville Community Center.  Residents are invited to attend a reception afterwards in the Fireplace Room at the Danville Library.
