Art exhibition director speaks to audience Tim Buckwalter to conduct an Art Chat in Village Theatre Art Gallery

In conjunction with the current exhibition, Where Have All the People Gone? that runs August 23 through September 30, Exhibition Director Tim Buckwalter will host a special art chat on Wednesday, September 11 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Buckwalter will offer a lively look at the efforts amongst several art centers that focus primarily on offering adults with disabilities the opportunity to learn, create and engage in a contemporary art scene. He will discuss the unique stories behind the artists’ work featured in the exhibit along with the history and inner workings of the Art Center known as NIAD (National
Institute of Art and Disabilities) located in Richmond, CA.

If you are curious about this program or want to learn more about what you can do to support agencies like NIAD, mark your calendar for this free and informative event held in the Village Theatre Art Gallery located at 233 Front Street.  There is no
registration required and light refreshments will be served.

For more information about this Art Chat or the exhibition, please contact Visual Arts Coordinator, Amy Miller at [email protected] or (925) 314-3460.
